A December to Remember (6 - 9)

Dec 6th:  another school day and Easton was in a crabby mood when we got home ... didn't really do anything holiday related.

Dec 7th:  We listened to Christmas music on the way into town to do Christmas shopping.

Dec 8th:  We celebrated Christmas with Grandma Cassie and Aunt Ann ... we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then came up to our house to open presents and spent the evening.

Scout also arrived today ... nothing like showing up late and drunk ... darn Elf!

Dec 9th:  Rode the Polar Express out of Hood River up to the North Pole ... Easton had a great time.  We went with Heidi, Al, and Lotus and Heidi's parents (Dean and Linda).  Afterwards we all went out to dinner.

A December to Remember (5)

Day 5: Homemade Crockpot Hot Chocolate (from a pinterest recipe - next time I will go with the way my mom made it with sugar, milk, cocoa on the stovetop!)  Anyways here are a couple pictures:

Hope everyone else had a great day!!!

Today we also made some salt dough ornaments that Easton helped cut out with cookie cutters and we baked them.  We will be painting them soon so they can be added to Christmas presents!

A December to Remember (1 - 4)

So my goal for December 1 - 25 is to do something fun and holiday related with Easton ... here is what our first four days looked like.

December 1 and 2: We put up Christmas Decorations.

December 3: We made Buttered Rum Meltaway Cookies and Marshmallow Stirrer Straws for Hot Chocolate later this week.

Dec 4:  Easton colored Christmas color pages ... it was a long day with Work and School so we didn't do to much this evening.

Halloween Pics

Halloween is over ... but here are the pictures:

Spiderman (aka Easton) was pretty much lived in his costume from Saturday (the first day we Trick-or-Treated in Tillamook) until Wednesday (actual Halloween) ... my thoughts were why not ... at least I'm getting my moneys worth! :)

Easton - Fall 2012

I can't believe its been a year since I have left a post on this page.  I figured it was time for an update.  Todd took Easton out for an "photo session" today ... Todd was practicing using his new camera and getting ready to do Easton's photos for Christmas pictures.  Here are a few of the funny ones ...

Some of these could have turned out great if Easton would have cooperated!!!  Ohhh well, I guess he did the best he could.

Pumpkin Patch 2011

So, we finally made it to the Pumpkin Patch this last weekend.  I week later than normal, but it worked out ok.  I had wondered if we were going to have a soggy mess since it had rained most of the week.  I was happily surprised when we got there and it wasn't too muddy (just enough that the boots got dirty!)

So, our morning started out with a train ride out to the patch:

Grandma and Lane on the Train

Easton on the Train.

Then we had to explore all the pumpkins and pick out the ones we liked best.  This was the boys favorite part of the day ... walking around in the pumpkins.

Filling up the wheelbarrow.

Lane pushing the pumpkins.
The boys sitting on the hay bales.
There was also a hay maze for the boys to go through.  While they were in there Grandma snuck in through the exit and surprised them.

Easton and Lane entering the Hay Maze.

Grandma coming out after she surprised them.
We did face painting while we were there this year (something we forgot about last year).  Easton wanted a spider and Lane wanted a Bat on his forehead ... and they got what they wanted :)

Easton wanted to go see the animals so we did stop by and see the pigs, goats (momma with 2 babies), kitties, and rabbit.

Then it was time to ride the Caterpillar ride (Easton's first time).  The sit in the barrels and get pulled by a tractor through a corn field, pumpkins, and sunflowers.

Then the picture that we take at the end of every trip to the pumpkin patch ... here is 2011 Lakeview Farms Pumpkin Patch picture.

The boys had a great time and so did my mom and myself.  We finished the afternoon by having lunch at Sonic (Easton's first time) and doing a little shopping at Kohls and Joann's.
